Connecting with British Columbians

The Provincial Capital Commission has developed or partnered with a variety of outreach initiatives designed to better connect British Columbians with their Capital.

A number of these programs are educationally based and have not only proven to be great educational tools for teachers, but are interesting for the general public.

In addition to internet resources, the PCC makes direct connections with British Columbians by providing funding assistance to students and youth groups to visit their Capital for field trips. PCC staff and board members have also visited numerous towns and regions of the province to promote programs, elicit feedback and dialogue with community members.

The Provincial Capital Commission also supports a number of programs such as BC Communities in Bloom, Youth Parliaments and heritage fairs.
