David Everett has 30 years of experience in corporate management and real estate business operations. He is currently President of Duncan Group of Properties which is involved in all areas of managing a significant real estate portfolio. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President, Realty Division, Johnston Ross & Cheng. In the community, he is a member of the Canadian Yachting Association Audit Committee and Chairs the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club Audit Committee. In the past, he has served as a Director of Royal Canadian Securities, President of Dominion Vancouver Motors, and President Canadian Yachting Association. In addition, David served as a Governor and former Chair with the Langara College Board. Linda Annis is Principal, Sirius Marketing Communications in Vancouver and serves as Executive Director of the non-profit organization, Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers. Birgit Bennett is a Director and Past President on the Ballet Kelowna Board of Directors, and has recently completed her term as Director on the Kelowna Art Gallery Board. With an international business education, her career focused on marketing and public relations with the BC Ministry of Tourism. Pam Copley has worked as a Community Heritage Planner with the provincial government since 2008, and is the Heritage Branch’s principal contact for sustainability and rehabilitation. She works with a range of community organizations and public sector agencies to encourage retention, adaptation, retrofit and re-use of existing and heritage buildings.
Pam is a graduate of University of Victoria’s Cultural Resource Management Program, specializing in heritage conservation and planning. Her experience in the heritage world began in the early 1990s as a community volunteer, then as a heritage planning consultant, and finally joining the Branch in her current capacity.
She combines an expertise in preservation policy and planning with over six years of zoning and land use experience at the local government and regional district levels in her role as a third-term municipal councillor in Greater Victoria.

Victoria City Councillor Shellie Gudgeon has deep roots in the Capital city. Living in a designated heritage house, she appreciates local history while working in the community to promote tourism and business, both economic drivers in the region. Partnering with her husband, they have owned and operated several restaurants in Victoria and currently own Il Terrazzo Ristorante and Fifth Street Bar and Grill. A strong neighbourhood advocate and community builder, Shellie has also served on a number of regional committees including CRD Water Supply Commission, Tourism Victoria Board of Directors and its Destination Marketing Commission; Victoria Parks and Recreation Foundation; and the city’s Corporate Services Standing Committee.

A fourth-term councilor for the Corporation of the Township of Esquimalt, Lynda Hundleby was appointed to represent her municipality on the Provincial Capital Commission Board of Directors in January, 2009. Currently an Alternate Director on the Capital Regional District Board, she has served on a variety of boards, commissions, and committees including three years on the Regional Water Supply Commission and five years as Trustee on the Greater Victoria Public Library Board. Prior to being elected to Esquimalt Council, Lynda served on the Esquimalt Parks and Recreation Commission for six years, the last three as Chair and two years as Chair of the Victoria Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils. Lynda had a successful career as a pharmacist and retired as a program manager for the Ministry of Health Services.

Ben Isitt was elected to Victoria City Council and the Capital Regional District Board in 2011. He holds a PhD and an LLB, has taught history at the University of Victoria and the University of British Columbia, and currently holds a research fellowship with the UVic Faculty of Law. An award-winning historian, author and community advocate, Ben has written two books that challenge thinking regarding BC politics and Canadian history.
Ben’s involvement in civic politics builds from his long-standing commitment to social justice and environmental protection. He has volunteered with residents and organizations on grassroots campaigns for worker rights, peace, the abolition of poverty and racism, and protecting our region’s forests and farmlands from urban sprawl.
He combines professional and volunteer expertise with hands-on experience working with Victoria’s street community as a Housing Support Worker with the Victoria Cool Aid Society.

Wayne Lippert is the former Mayor for the City of Vernon. Previously, he was the proprietor of Courtesy Motors. Active in the community, he served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust; Vice-Chair of North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap Regional Hospital Board; Chair of Greater Vernon Commission/Advisory Committee Parks and Water; and VIce-Chair of the Regional District of North Okanagan. Dennis Murray is a semi-retired sole practitioner in Victoria. William Norton is active in agriculture and tourism with a current interest in international trade. He as more than 20 years experience in governmental relations with an expertise in operational management, quasi-judicial proceedings, conflict resolution and negotiations. He took early retirement after 14 years as Regional Director, Northern Region, Attorney General Court Services where his responsibility included all court administration, sheriff services and court facilities in 34 communities of central and northern BC. He was the Executive Director for Management Services, Court Services and Senior Project Officer Rural Health Programs with the Ministry of Health as well as co-director Applied Research Mental Health Programs and a Director of the Law Courts Education Society of BC. In addition he was an assistant professor at the University of California Chico as well as an adjunct instructor of sociology at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George. Active in the community, he has served on and chaired numerous committees and boards including the Central Interior Feeders’ Association, Northern Agriculture Alliance, Fraser-Nechako Rivers Riparian Improvement Council and a member of the BC Chiefs of Police Association. He currently serves as Chair of the Patient Care quality Review Board North and as an ambassador of the Guide Outfitters Association of BC. He holds his Master in Sociology and a minor in Economics with honors from the University of California Chico.
