About the PCC

Overview

The Provincial Capital Commission – a self-sustaining Crown agency reporting to government through the Minister of Community, Sport & Cultural Development – has a mandate to "connect and celebrate the Capital with all British Columbians."

Through its province-wide Outreach initiatives, the PCC aims to foster all citizens' sense of pride and ownership in the Capital, and to raise awareness of the Capital's unique character, history and beauty.

The Provincial Capital Commission is also the proud steward of many provincially-owned properties and heritage buildings in the Capital region. Most of them are unusually sensitive due to their history or location. Commercial revenues from some of these holdings fund all the PCC's operations.
